Saturday, Nov. 15 was the day for the annual Blizzard of Blankets collection for the Upper Room Day Shelter at St. Paul’s Church on Peach Street in downtown Erie.
As the cold sets in, each year the Upper Room collects new or gently used blankets and winter clothing for the homeless and those in need.
It always takes place in mid-November, just before Thanksgiving. Volunteers, including Boy Scouts, take the donations from people who drive up to the front of the church…
