Fort Wayne house fire on Oliver Street ruled intentional

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A house fire at 2208 Oliver Street in Fort Wayne was intentionally set, according to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Battalion Chief Jamison York reported that the fire alarm went off at 6:59 a.m. and crews arrived by 7:05 a.m. The fire was under control by 7:22 a.m. The two-story house was under renovation, and luckily, no one was inside.

The fire started on the stairway, and while there were no working smoke detectors, the damage was moderate from fire and water, with minor smoke damage. No injuries or fatalities occurred, and no pets were reported…
