Bicyclists and pedestrians rally against unsafe streets in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — On the City’s Safe Streets Indy map, icons mark dozens, if not hundreds, of locations where there have been traffic accidents in Marion County over the last year.

Twenty-four of those crashes led to pedestrian deaths, and a dozen included bicyclist fatalities.

Sunday afternoon, some 40 bicyclists, pedestrians and families of crash victims rode and marched along Raymond Street on the city’s south side calling for safer streets…
