Richmond man accused of kidnapping woman, impersonating RPD officer in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Jackson County deputies arrested a Richmond man on Saturday after reports of a woman in distress.

Deputies arrested Mark Bernardo, 25, around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 15 in McKee after receiving reports of a domestic situation with a woman.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported that, after questioning, deputies determined that Bernardo allegedly abducted the woman after physically and sexually assaulting her under the guise of helping her.
