Louisville men charged with transporting pounds of meth to Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A tip from an informant resulted in Pikeville Police arresting two Louisville men believed to be bringing pounds of meth to Pike County.

The informant told police Andrew Billingslea, 33, would be bringing meth to Pikeville early Sunday morning.

Acting on the information, officers patrolling U.S. 23 spotted two cars traveling toward Pikeville at a slow rate of speed. Police say drugs are often transported using multiple cars in what is known “trail car” pattern in order to evade detection by police…
