Good morning KELOLAND! A small, but potent storm system is taking aim at KELOLAND the next 24 to 36 hours. Rain will be the story for many of us highlighted on the map below. This system will likely feature smaller, mesoscale features of more efficient banding of rainfall. That could really increase some local totals well beyond .50″. Keep that mind if you live NW of Sioux Falls.
The other concern is how efficient snowfall rates will be after midnight north and northeast of Sioux Falls. At this time, we have a general Trace to 2″ highlighted below, but the banded nature of this system and elevated instability are factors that could prove interesting. Keep checking back on this developing scenario.
