North Las Vegas drivers are being urged to stay vigilant about seat belt and child restraint safety. The North Las Vegas Police Department announced that its Traffic Division will take part in Nevada’s Joining Forces initiative from November 10 to December 1, 2025. The campaign aims to promote proper seat belt use and the correct securing of child passengers.
The North Las Vegas Police Department says officers will be watching for drivers and passengers who fail to buckle up. According to the NLVPD, an unrestrained passenger dies in a crash every 50 minutes. In 2023, more than 10,000 people in the U.S. died in crashes involving unbelted occupants, nearly half of all traffic deaths. Many of these fatalities happen close to home, often at night.
