RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The City of Reno is responding to increased reports of rats in neighborhoods.
In a memo, the city says it has reached out to Northern Nevada Public Health, the Nevada Department of Wildlife, and the Nevada Department of Agriculture to address the problem.
The memo, however, states that while Nevada law stipulates that control over rodent infestations is the responsibility of the individual landowner or occupier, the broader statute was written for agricultural pest control and does not directly address urban infestations of rats…
