A nearly $4 million project aims to improve the Keehi Small Boat Harbor lot

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The state is getting ready to start work on the Keehi Small Boat Harbor parking lot on Monday, Nov. 17.

The west side of the lot has sunk in some areas, so crews will be raising the ground and fixing spots that have become rough or uneven.

Workers will pave over gravel and dirt sections to help cut down on potholes and make the parking lot easier to drive and walk on.

The project costs almost $4 million and is expected to wrap up by the end of February 2026. Officials say the harbor will stay open during the construction and no facilities are expected to shut down while the upgrades are being made…
