Man charged in deadly Mattapan stabbing had prior case dropped, DA says

A man charged in a deadly stabbing Saturday night in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood was held without bail after appearing before a judge in Dorchester District Court on Monday.

Boston police say officers responded to a reported stabbing around 7:19 p.m. in the area of 30 Fremont St. and arrived to find one victim with life-threatening injuries. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Boston resident Javonte Robinson, 29, is facing a murder charge. He is accused of stabbing the victim in the neck. The two men knew each other, according to the prosecution, and Robinson was identified by a witness who was at the home at the time of the stabbing…
