RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Monday night’s Durham City Council meeting saw a smattering of citizens turn out in opposition to a proposal to permanently close Hayti Lane.
Agenda item 16 requested to “permanently close the entirety of Hayti Lane east of Old Fayetteville Street.”
The community, made up of 19 town homes, ends in a cul-de-sac and the property owner wants to convert the cul-de-sac into a space for future developments. However, what those future developments are have not been revealed…
