The average cost of gas fell about 9 cents from a week ago, according to AAA, but remains well above the average from mid-October, with the Lansing area among the highest-priced metro areas in the state.
AAA said gas prices in Michigan are down 9 cents statewide from a week ago with drivers paying an average of $3.02 per gallon for regular unleaded as of Nov. 17. The current average price is 19 cents more than this time last month, but still 13 cents less than this time last year.
