Police said they are investigating the death of a woman who was found unconscious with head injuries on a Lower East Side sidewalk Sunday.
NYPD officers responded to a 911 call around 7:45 a.m. to Broome and Columbia streets, near the Williamsburg Bridge and Luther Gulick Park, according to officials. When they arrived, they discovered an unresponsive woman lying on the sidewalk with head trauma.
