Suspect arrested with meth after trespassing at vacant building in Wildwood

A suspect was arrested with methamphetamine after allegedly trespassing at a vacant building in downtown Wildwood.

Anthony Mobley, 35, was detained shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of South Main Street and Kentucky Avenue. He had a bicycle with a wagon which contained lighting and miscellaneous cables. Mobley admitted he had taken the items from an empty building at 805 S. Main St. He claimed he “did not notice” the posted “No Trespassing” sign at the building.

Moments prior to the arrival of police, Mobley, who was arrested in 2023 with methamphetamine, had attempted to dispose of a cloth bag containing methamphetamine. He admitted to police that he tried to get rid of the bag because he had been previously arrested with methamphetamine and was “afraid to go to jail.”…
