Resident and firefighter hospitalized after Roanoke Co. house fire

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke County Fire and Rescue says one of their firefighters and a resident were hospitalized after a house fire on Monday.

Crews responded to the 6600 block of Village Green Dr. in the Hollins area at 5:42 p.m. November 17. According to the fire department, there was heavy fire in the garage, but it was knocked down in a matter of minutes.

Brush fire ignites Bedford mobile home

The resident was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will be displaced from their home. The Roanoke County firefighter also had non-life-threatening injuries.
