NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a New Orleans couple accused of defrauding the Louisiana Medicaid program of more than $61,000.
According to the bureau, the Louisiana Department of Health submitted a criminal referral alleging that Gregory and Antoinette Hammond, of New Orleans, both Medicaid recipients, intentionally underreported their income to receive benefits.
Investigators determined that between June 2021 and May 2025, the Hammonds provided false information by failing to accurately report their marital status and household income. As a result, officials say the couple defrauded the Medicaid program of more than $61,000…
