James Woods chosen to lead Hinds County juvenile detention center

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Hinds County Board of Supervisors appointed a new director for the Henley-Young-Patton Juvenile Justice Center.

James Woods, Jr., was officially named the new director after stepping into the role in October 2025.

“To just be able to continue to serve for the state and serve Hinds County, it means a lot,” he said.
