Oswego Chick-fil-A murder suspect pleads not guilty

The man accused of killing a delivery driver and attacking a maintenance worker at a Chick-fil-A in Oswego last month is pleading not guilty.

Nineteen-year-old Darryl Lee Jr. appeared in Kendall County Court Monday morning, where Judge Jody Gleason went over nineteen charges — including murder, concealment of a homicidal death, attempted murder, armed robbery, and more — along with their potential sentences.

“[Counts] One through eight, all allege first degree murder charged in alternative ways. For first degree murder, you could be sentenced 20 to 60 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. 60 to a 120 years if you receive extended term. It’s non-probationable. If you’re convicted of first degree murder, you have to serve the sentence at a hundred percent. There’s no day-for-day credit.”…
