ROGERSVILLE, Mo. — Emergency crews responded to Rogersville following a grass fire on Monday, November 17.
Logan Rogersville Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Russ Lafferty tells Ozarks First that stumps burned by a homeowner on Saturday, Nov. 15, caught fire after it “got so dry” when no one was around on Monday.
The assistant chief states that the stumps caught fire to leaves in the front yard of the home near Valley View Road in Rogersville.
Crews were able to contain the fire after it had burned around three acres. The blaze had hit the back and the siding of the residence, which later hit a neighbor’s property…
