BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Stadium construction for Boise’s new professional soccer team, Athletic Club Boise, reached a significant milestone Monday.
Turf installation began over the weekend, marking one of the more visual milestones as the club’s stadium at Expo Idaho continues its transformation from horse track into a professional soccer stadium. The turf, and what goes underneath it, are more technologically advanced than you may think, including a 20 mm shock-absorption underlayment and even sensors at various points that monitor turf performance.
