Fire Causes Extensive Damage to Northern Kentucky Home
I remember seeing the smoke from miles away before I even knew what had happened. On Monday afternoon, a house near the end of West 13th Street in Newport caught fire around 1:30 PM. The flames quickly engulfed much of the home, leaving the exterior blackened and charred. It was one of those moments where you realize just how fast a fire can change a life in an instant.
When the firefighters arrived, the scene was chaotic but under control. Smoke was still billowing into the sky, visible across the neighborhood, drawing neighbors and passersby out of curiosity and concern. Thankfully, the first reports confirmed that no one was injured. Even so, seeing a home reduced to scorched ruins is a reminder of how unpredictable and devastating fires can be.
