Local grand jury issues indictments for endangerment, fleeing crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for endangerment, fleeing and abuse crimes on Friday.

Twenty-year-old Keandre Jones of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence after he reportedly pointed a firearm at a victim on September 13. Following the incident, Jones reportedly attempted to hide the firearm in a pile of laundry.

Twenty-one-year-old Elvin Garcia was indicted for multiple charges after he reportedly fled from law enforcement and struck a parked vehicle while under the influence on July 28. He was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, having no operator’s license, failure to maintain insurance, reckless driving and possession of an open alcohol container in a car…
