Fraud charges filed against nine Medicaid workers across Ohio; over $530K stolen

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nine Medicaid providers across the state face criminal charges after investigators said they collectively stole more than $530,000 from Ohio’s Medicaid program.

The indictments, filed this month in Franklin County Common Pleas Court, stem from investigations by the Ohio attorney general’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

“Cheating Medicaid earns you nothing but a court date and a criminal record,” Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement. “We are working to recover ill-gotten gains and bring fraudsters to justice.”…
