KALAMAZOO, MI — Last year, the city of Kalamazoo gave $500,000 in an effort to support emergency winter shelters.
A majority of the funds haven’t been spent yet, although Kalamazoo is allocating $300,000 of those funds to a $700,000 winter shelter program run by three nonprofits this winter.
