MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A trailer fire sparked a forest fire near McLemore Lane in Maynardville Monday, the Northeast Union Volunteer Fire Department said.
The fire completely destroyed a single-wide trailer, the department said. At 11:10 p.m., the Maynardville Fire Department announced the fire was contained. It said the Tennessee Department of Forestry was conducting back burns, allowing the blaze to burn itself out.
