Twenty Montgomery residents graduated from the city’s Citizen Police Academy, an eight-week program aimed at strengthening community ties and offering a behind-the-scenes look at police operations.
The session, which started on Sept. 15, focused on building trust and transparency between officers and the community.
“This right here is to bridge the gap between community, law enforcement, also business owners had a chance to participate in this as well,” Capt. Theodore Williams said. “So we just get the chance to put the word out so people can see us in a different light.”…
