Kroger has become a significant provider of grocery deliveries in Central Florida, thanks to the opening of its Groveland Fulfillment Center in June 2021. You’ve likely seen their delivery trucks on the roads where you live and in your neighborhood. Unfortunately, Kroger’s delivery service is ending for many of us who have come to rely on it.
This morning, I received the following email from Kroger:
Kroger Delivery Is Ending in Your AreaOur commitment to our customers is to offer them the best service and options to shop with us, no matter how you want to shop. As we assessed our service, we have decided to suspend operations in your area. As a result, Kroger Delivery service will be ending on 2/1/26. You can still receive delivery orders through 1/31/26.We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we understand the impact this has on our customers and communities.Because you’re a Boost member, we’re refunding $69.00 to the card you used when you signed up for Boost. This is the full amount you paid for your membership fee. Your refund will be applied in the next 30 days, and we’ll send you another email confirming your refund. As a thank you for being our customer, we’re giving you an unlimited-use free delivery coupon, valid for deliveries through 1/31/26.*
From what I’m finding out, this isn’t the first time Kroger has chosen to end operations in an area. Kroger had previously delivered in South Florida in May 2024 after finding that their local Fulfillment Center did not meet success benchmarks. Their service in South Florida began in June 2022 as a smaller spoke facility in Miami.
