A Wildwood man was arrested for theft after leaving Family Dollar with $12 worth of stolen soap in his pockets.
A retail clerk saw 39-year-old Jabari Costello Bush come into Family Dollar, located at 400 Main St., wearing a black backpack around 7 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
She recognized him from a prior theft and watched as he put the backpack on the floor of an aisle. He continued to push a shopping cart around the store as she went to the office to review surveillance footage. She then observed him take two Dove body washes worth $12.84 and put them in his pants pocket, the report said.
Bush then left the store, giving the clerk time to retrieve his backpack while she waited for law enforcement to arrive. Inside was his ID, which was used to track him to his residence on Fourth Street. He was subsequently arrested inside the home, the report said…
