Rochester dispensary opens food pantry

Rochester, N.Y. — The city’s first licensed cannabis dispensary is reaching out to help improve lives.

Good Life Collective on Monroe Avenue launched its own food pantry Nov. 1. In just over two weeks, the business says it’s collected more than 1,000 donations to support local families battling food insecurity and rising household costs.

“With everything going on in society, we wanted to collect food to make sure that everybody has a meal,” explained co-owner Jamel Young. “Every Friday, we have food pickups to make sure that everybody can be well accommodated during the holiday season…
