Police arrest SF man for drunk driving after he crashed into a cemetery

(KRON) – Officers arrested a man for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed a car into a cemetery, according to the Colma Police Department.

CPD were dispatched to the area of Hillside Boulevard and F Street after a report of a solo vehicle accident on Nov. 13 at approximately 2:04 a.m.

Officers observed that a grey Acura had crashed through the fence and into the Japanese Cemetery, located at 1300 Hillside Blvd. A male and a female were standing outside the vehicle when authorities arrived. The male admitted to driving the vehicle.

CPD officers said that they detected the “distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating” from the driver and alleged that he displayed “objective signs” of being under the influence of alcohol.

The driver, 28-year-old Caius Stevens of San Francisco, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries…
