Video: Charlotte students hold walkouts on Tuesday to protest ICE activity

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Several Charlotte schools held coordinated walkouts on Tuesday as students protested recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity.

At East Mecklenburg High School, the demonstration was moved to Tuesday morning after discussions between faculty and district representatives. Organizers agreed the safest plan was to gather on the school’s track, where the walkout began around 8:30 a.m.
