FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Fort Bend ISD families are speaking out as the district considers new attendance boundaries that could reassign students to different schools as early as the 2026–2027 school year.
The district says the rezoning plan is aimed at balancing enrollment across campuses, noting that some schools are over capacity while others have open seats. But many parents say the proposal could do more harm than good — and that the impact on their children could be significant.
