Several people were reportedly detained in St. Paul on Tuesday morning as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out an operation at a manufacturing plant.
The operation unfolded at 830 N. Hampden Ave. at Bro-Tex, which makes and distributes wipes, towels and other absorbent products used for cleaning.
Questions remain about the mission of the operation, but an ICE spokesperson said ICE Homeland Security Investigations and law enforcement partners “conducted court authorized law enforcement activity and served a search warrant in furtherance of a federal criminal investigation.”…
