Wichita artist seeks help to recover stolen artwork

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita artist is asking for help after several of his custom-painted pieces disappeared.

Painter, pinstriper, and tattoo artist Dennis McPhail says the artwork represents hundreds of hours of work, and he’s hoping someone out there has seen it.

McPhail spent decades creating hand-painted pieces for Wichita’s art and car community, but over the weekend, he says several of those original works went missing. He says he packed all this art up in a flat-screen TV box, put it in the back of his car, and now it’s gone…
