Gang-related assault at Salt Lake City school leads police to hit-and-run suspect

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — An alleged assault between rival gang members outside a school has led police to a hit-and-run suspect.

Officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department have arrested Nicholas Talon Maez, 18, on suspicion of robbery and riot causing substantial bodily injury after allegedly beating and robbing a member of a rival gang.

On Monday, Nov. 17, officers responded to a hit-and-run accident near 1100 South and Richards Street in the Ballpark neighborhood.
