The Martin Luther King Center announced on Tuesday that Marcus Atkinson will lead a transition team as the center looks for new leadership following the unexpected passing of Executive Director James Sherrod.
Atkinson will oversee the center’s programs and community initiatives while the board of directors begins a formal search for the next executive director.
