Walnut Cove suspicious vehicle leads to the arrest of two

Friday morning a suspicious vehicle search prompted the arrest of two individuals.

On Nov. 14, at around 6:48 a.m. Stokes County Deputy Fox was patrolling in the Germanton area and conducting a security check at the Dollar General. While there, the deputy observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. As he attempted to turn around and check on the vehicle, the vehicle quickly left the lot and made evasive maneuvers before coming to a stop.

The driver was identified as Daniel Scott Wilson, 39, of Winston-Salem and the passenger as Laura Czerkewicz, 40, of Walnut Cove. During the investigation, Deputy Fox located narcotics inside the vehicle. During the roadside investigation, Deputy Fox located a quantity of heroin and methamphetamine inside the vehicle, along with drug paraphernalia.
