A SWAT Team standoff in Spartanburg County Tuesday resulted in a school being put on lockdown. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Sand Piper Lane in Boiling Springs to investigate a property crime.
The man they went to contact then barricaded himself inside the home. That’s when SWAT was called to the scene. The Sheriff’s Office says two other people were inside the home when the suspect barricaded himself. Both were later taken out of the home safely.
During that time, Boiling Springs High School was placed on a brief lockdown. The Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene. Deputies report hearing a gunshot coming from inside and the suspect stopped communicating…
