A local juvenile is facing several gun charges after a recent foot pursuit involving the Fall River Police Department.
According to police, on Sunday, CAST Detectives were proactively patrolling the Flint Neighborhood when they observed a male they recognized from prior investigations. The individual, a 16-year-old, was already suspected of being in possession of an illegal firearm and was actively displaying characteristics consistent with being armed.
Detectives approached while identifying themselves as police officers. Upon seeing the detectives, the teen immediately fled on foot, disregarding all verbal commands. During the pursuit, detectives observed the suspect continue to display the actions of an armed individual (keeping an arm pinned to their side while the other arm swings naturally and freely.) The suspect was seen discarding a firearm under an outdoor stairway at Father Diaferio Village before continuing to flee…
