Man shot, killed outside Rochester gas station

Rochester, N.Y. — A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting Tuesday night on the city’s north side.

Police responded around 6:45 p.m. to the gas station at the corner of St. Paul and Norton streets for the report of a person shot, according to Captain Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department. Officers found the victim, a man in his 30s, sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle at the gas pumps, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. The man died at the scene.

Investigators determined the victim was alone when a suspect approached the car on foot and fired several gunshots into the vehicle, Umbrino said. The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at-large…
