Jackson leaders confirm Tyree Jones as new police chief

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson leaders confirmed the appointment of a new police chief.

During the City Council meeting on Tuesday night, councilmembers confirmed Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones as the police chief of the Jackson Police Department (JPD).
