Cherry Valley meth dealer sentenced to 17 years in prison

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Cherry Valley meth dealer has been sentenced to spend 17 years in federal prison, the U.S. Justice Department announced Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Sean Claeyssen, 35, pleaded guilty to charges against him earlier this year.

Authorities said between October and December of 2023, Claeyssen sold nearly a pound and a half of methamphetamine (664.6 grams) and 27.7 grams of cocaine, and had a loaded gun when he was arrested in December 2023…
