Pig adopted a week after police pursuit on I-40

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A pig has been released to a new home a week after Albuquerque police detained him for leading them on a pursuit on Interstate 40.

A couple adopted the pig APD caught last Tuesday on the off-ramp from I-40 to Louisiana Boulevard. Parrot, as he was named, stayed at the Westside Animal Shelter until his adoption Monday.

Upon adoption, the couple gave him the name “Boar-is.”…
