Eugene police officer injured and patrol vehicles damaged during pursuit near game day traffic

Eugene, OR – On November 14, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Eugene Police Department officers attempted to stop a reckless driver operating a Ford F-150 near Valley River Center. The driver failed to yield, creating a danger to the public and prompting a pursuit involving multiple EPD units.

During the pursuit, two patrol vehicles were damaged, and one officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, receiving treatment at a local hospital. The suspect vehicle continued eastbound toward Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, encountering heavy game day traffic. A passenger exited the moving vehicle and fled on foot but was quickly detained by officers.

At approximately 3:13 p.m., officers executed a forcible vehicle stop near MLK Boulevard and Garden Way, resulting in damage to a third patrol vehicle.
