FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – As temperatures drop, the valley’s homeless population is becoming more visible.
“It’s not necessarily that there’s an increase in the unsheltered population. There’s just an increased visibility because the fact is, they’re setting up tents, which tend to become much more visible,” Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer said.
Dyer says the city’s emergency shelters average more than 800 people at a time, and the need for those services becomes more apparent this time of year…
