HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Nineteen new documents were received on Tuesday containing transcripts of 911 calls and officer interviews surrounding the 2023 road rage shooting on Highway 9 in Longs, that’s now a stand your ground case.
In September 2023, Scott Spivey was shot and killed by North Myrtle Beach business owner, Weldon Boyd, after reports of Spivey driving erratically and waving a gun at vehicles along Highway 9.
Spivey’s family is suing Boyd and his passenger, Kenneth Williams who both claim they shot at Spivey in self defense and have never been charged in the case…
