Improper use of a candle sparks a camper fire in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Green Bay say a garage was protected and saved after the improper use of a candle sparked a nearby camper fire.

According to a release from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews responded at 4:42 a.m. to the 500 block of Lake Street for reports of a camper fire.

Arriving officials say the camper was difficult to get to as the address of the incident was on a dead-end street. Once on the scene, the camper was found fully engulfed in flames and was near a garage.
