County Commissioners Approve Change in Sunday Alcohol Sales

During it’s Tuesday morning meeting the Lancaster County commissioners approved a regulation change that allows alcohol to be sold in unincorporated areas of the county at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The previous regulations prohibited those businesses from selling beer before 9:oo and liquor before noon. The change was made following a request by the owner Emerald Mini Mart, which is just outside the city limits.

During a public hearing, one person spoke in favor of the change. John Bowler is the District Manager for Casey’s and says the time difference was confusing for customers of his store near Highway 34 and Adams, which is just outside the city limits…
