LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department announced that 18-year-old Irvin Cortes has passed away following a crash in East Lubbock on Saturday.
EverythingLubbock.com previously reported that officers responded to a scene of a two vehicle accident at East 10th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard. After the initial crash, two people exited one of the vehicles involved and one was struck by a third vehicle. That person was later identified as Cortes, who suffered serious injuries and was transported to UMC by EMS.
