In an effort to better understand the experiences of individuals who have been admitted to psychiatric holds following an ER visit, a call for shared experiences has been made on social media. The focus is on the Wichita area, with the aim of gathering information about the process and how it is handled by local hospitals. The experiences sought include short evaluation times, unexpected diagnoses, difficulty in declining medication, extended holds without clear communication, and a general feeling of the process being rushed or unclear.
